Air show

I decided to take a half-day last Friday and go down to Andrew's AFB to see the air show they put on each year. It was really good. There were some HUGE plans and some neat helicopters. There were some MRAPs, Strikers and a howitzer. Some of the airplanes and jet performers were pretty impressive.

Too bad the entire family wasn't really feeling all that well. We're all trying to get over colds. Boo.

It was HUGE!

The little man really liked sitting in the cockpit of the coastguard helicopter.

I thought it would be cool to take a picture of the wee bobbies in the coastguard's drop bucket. The little ladybug wasn't a huge fan of being taken out of the comfy stroller and stuck in a hard metal basket.

This is another transport. I understand they use these things a lot over in the Middle East right now. Even though the little man wasn't feeling all that great, he loved all the buttons to look at and play with. We didn't tell the pilot which ones he played with. Don't worry, no weapons went off while we were playing.

Now that's a good dad - taking kids to see way-cool weapons and stuff! Not a bad field trip...
